HARCO’s traverse system and operators are ready for Wind Keeper’s first project

Cadeler’s newest wind installation vessel, Wind Keeper, has embarked on its very first project – with HARCO equipment and operators onboard.

HARCO has delivered a complete turnkey solution consisting of a Dynamic Traverse System, mobilization and demobilization, experienced operators, on-site maintenance, and a dedicated tool and spare parts container.

With this setup, HARCO provides a fully integrated solution where both system and personnel are in place to ensure high precision and minimal downtime during the installation of wind turbine components.

Delivered as a Fast-Track Project

The project was executed as a fast-track delivery, and just four months after we received the order from Cadeler, the traverse system was delivered and mobilized onboard Wind Keeper.

This fast-track delivery is made possible by our modular concept, where the majority of the traverse system consists of standardized modules that can be assembled to match the specific requirements of the exact project.

To meet the tight timeline, our engineering and production teams developed a well-structured execution plan, ensuring all activities were coordinated and deadlines were met. The mobilization itself also required careful planning, as it had to be carried out slightly differently than usual.

Due to operational requirements, the vessel’s crane had to be positioned away from the quay, resulting in a modified mobilization setup and additional deadlines to meet, but despite the adjusted setup, the equipment was successfully mobilized within the agreed timeframe.

A project-specific rental solution

The traverse system is now fully operational, with both equipment and operators ready for the project ahead. As Cadeler has chosen a rental solution, the system will return to HARCO once the project is completed.

Back at our facilities, the system is maintained, prepared, upgraded, and optimized for the next operation – ensuring it is ready to meet the specific requirements of future projects.
