Dynamic Traverse System

The DTS can also be mounted on the boom, where the tagwire and guide wire winches will be mounted in the lower part of the boom. The stabilizers still need to be mounted on the pedestal in case needed. By choosing the boom mounted solution, the Lower Guide Pulley is avoided.

We offer a variety of different top traverse solutions, ensuring maximum flexibility.

Fixed triangular top traverse
The fixed triangular top traverse is the most simple solution, but also the least flexible. The fixed top traverse is mounted either by a flange connection, or by a clamp on solution. The fixed top traverse requires sufficient clearance on both sides of the boom.

Electrically foldable triangular top traverse
The foldable triangular top traverse can fold by electrical actuation, ensuring better flexibility in case of limited clearance around the boom for the traverse wires. However it only gives two options, only folded in for transit, or folded out for installation, thereby it only allows for a fixed distance between the traverse wires.

Extendable top traverse
The extendable top traverse can be used in case of limited clearance around the boom for the traverse wires, as it can retract the wires, limiting the possibility of wire clashes with vessel legs or other obstacles. Furthermore, the extendable top traverse gives increased flexibility, as it can extend to different positions, allowing for adjusting the distance between the traverse wires, to align with the lifting yoke width.

Moveable triangular top traverse
The movable triangular top traverse gives increased flexibility, as it can move up and down the boom to allow for different installation heights without moving the top traverse by crane in port. The movable triangular top traverse can be moved due to a sledge setup. It can be chosen as either fixed or foldable.

Movable, extendable top traverse
The movable, extendable top traverse is the most flexible top traverse solution. This top traverse can move up and down the boom to allow for different installation heights by its sledge setup, while giving the same adjustment options as an extendable top traverse.

In Auto Mode, both winches work together to maintain the load’s position reference, ensuring a stable, non-rotating load.

Dynamic movements are compensated by directing torque to the winch experiencing the highest load.

If rotation is required, it is easily initiated by adjusting the position setpoint using the joystick.

In Follow Mode, both winches work together to maintain the position reference, ensuring a stable, non-rotating load with high precision – even for loads as light as 1,500 kg.
The system automatically follows load movements, such as when booming up or down.
