HARCO had a team of specialists in the Netherlands to carry out the demobilization of the Traverse System on Cadeler’s WIND ORCA. The Traverse System had been in operation for 1.5 years and needed to be de-mobilized due to a planned upgrade of the vessel's crane.
Demobilizing a Traverse System is a crucial process that requires careful planning and execution to minimize downtime as much as possible. As a result, we devised an extremely detailed plan and assembled a dedicated team of specialists ready to work around the clock. Our goal was to complete the mobilization within a tight timeframe of 48 hours including preparation works.
However, we completed the demobilization of the Traverse System in just 24 hours. This rapid accomplishment was attributed to our effective communication with Cadeler and other stakeholders and our well-coordinated internal briefings and cooperation.
Our ability to exceed expectations and finish the task in half the expected time underscores the importance of meticulous planning and effective collaboration in the demobilization process.
