Jan De Nul has chosen HARCO Heavy Lifting for delivering a DP tagline system for launching their new intertidal trenching vehicle named “Moonfish”.
HARCO Heavy Lifting has assisted Jan De Nul in executing the first launch of their intertidal trenching vehicle “Moonfish” on TenneT’s Hollandse Kust Noord and West Alpha export cable systems project, off the coast of IJmuiden in the Netherlands. The first launch of the trencher was controlled by the HARCO DP 4,5mT tagline system, with a HARCO operator supervising and training the onboard crew in how to operate the tagline system.
The first launch and recovery of the 250t Moonfish was executed safely and efficient, and with optimal control opportunities.
